Matthew Lang, ABd, is the Business Intelligence Practice Manager at KSM Consulting, an Indiana-based data and technology consulting firm. Matt is responsible for transforming client data into meaningful information that enables effective decision making.

Matt has helped clients develop short- and intermediate-range forecasting models through the application of techniques such as regression analysis, cross-tabulations, and distribution analysis. His varied technical expertise includes Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, R, SPSS, and STATA. In addition, Matt is proficient in advanced multivariate regression, Bayesian item response, content analysis, factor analysis, linear regression, and survey research methods.

Prior to joining KSM Consulting, Matt was active in the field of education, serving as the Quantitative Analytics Director for ITT Educational Services and as the Senior Manager for the Houston Independent School District. Matt earned both his B.A. and MBA in Political Science from Indiana University/Purdue University. He holds a PhD in Political Science and Government from the University of Houston and was a Strategic Data Project Agency Fellow at Harvard University’s Center for Education Policy and Research.
