President, Data Analytics Solutions, LHP Engineering Solutions

Michael King is currently President, Data Analytics Solutions, a new division for LHP Engineering Solutions. Along with LHP Telematics, LHP provides a full range of Internet of Things (IoT) and Engineering Services for major OEMs in the Automotive, Industrial, and Medical industries. In this position, Michael is responsible for implementing self-service business intelligence (BI), big data, and a variety of analytics capabilities. Prior to joining LHP, Michael was the Director of Enterprise Business Intelligence for Cummins, the global leader in diesel engines.


Michael is an accomplished IT executive with a proven track record of successfully leading highly-visible, complex global initiatives including finance systems implementations, enterprise business intelligence, facilities consolidation, and value engineering. He has held Leadership roles in profit & loss programs, shared services, supplier management, and corporate environments, including 4 years of factory management. Michael brings extensive experience driving organizational change through the implementation of large-scale IT systems solutions, including Microsoft BI, Azure, Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion Financial Management, Essbase, Oracle Business Intelligence, Sharepoint, Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle Exadata, Khalix, Cognos, and Baan ERP.

Michael joined Cummins in 2008 to lead its finance systems improvement program. Before Cummins, Michael spent nearly 18 years at Boeing, where he held leadership roles in finance, manufacturing, and supply chain; including serving as the Finance Systems Leader for Boeing’s 787 Airplane Program.

In 2013, Michael was named the United Way of Bartholomew County Volunteer of the Year for his work upgrading computing solutions for the United Way’s critical 2-1-1 phone service. In Seattle, Michael served as Boeing’s Employee Community Fund Campaign Director for several years, and is a graduate of the Leadership Eastside Community Leadership Development Program. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Kirkland Performance Center, the United Way of King County’s Out of the Rain Impact Council, and Hope-Link Executive Action Committee.

Michael earned his Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Marketing from Eastern Washington University and completed his Masters in Technology Management at the University of Washington in 2005. Michael lives in Columbus, Indiana with his wife Joy and sons Tyler and Alex.
